Alabama Shakes - Heavy Chevy

My song of this week is by a upcoming band over here in the UK but a very established new band in the States called Alabama Shakes.

Heavy Chevy is a good ol' southern soul-rock song which holds a lot of similarities to a very young Kings of Leon before they turned all mainstream on everyone and made terrible pop songs. This sort of southern song is a favourite of mine while travelling to work etc.. or getting ready for a night out!

I seen this band at T in the Park earlier this year and they were tremendous, they got an amazing reception considering they aren't that well heard of and they gave the crowd what they wanted on a rainy day, rock and roll. The atmosphere was electric and you even had people dancing around near the back!!
